2026 Canadian University Chess Championship

Tournament Format & Logistics

The tournament will feature 5-rounds of classical chess at a time control of 90 minutes + 30 seconds increment. Teams will play in teams of 4 representing one university with the ability for teams to carry an alternate player. Full tournament information is available on our Technical Regulations page.

When

The tournament will be from Friday, January 16th to Sunday, January 18th, 2026.
